Stereo Shut off
Stereo Shut off Was driving down the road the other day listening to my alpine head unit. All of a sudden it just shuts off. I tried to turn it back on and it has no power. So when i got home opened up the dash checked ALL the wires and there were no loose wires from the harness to the head unit. Figured i might check the fuses. I checked both the head unit fuse and the fuse box fuse for the radio, both were fine but i still replaced them. Still no power. Could it be another fuse other than the radio? Or some other wire that is deeper in the dash?I dont think it is the head unit it worked just fine, but then again i dont know.

used a voltage meter to check to see if i was even getting power to the head unit. It read 12 volts on the dot, which means that the head unit was getting power... which makes me believe that the 200 dollar alpine head deck that i bought just seemed to crap out on me and leave me without a good CD. Anyone agree that it is just the head unit?
