Default Replaceing whole sound system

Allright basically what i want to do is buy all new speakers, eliminate the monsson amp. can i put the new speakers in and run new wires to my aftermarket head unit and run all of them off of a aftermarket amp? also ill be adding a stealth box and run a serperate amp for it also. could i run two amps off my head unit? or do they make an rca splitter and use the amps together meanin same power, remote wire, and ground?

does your head unit have 3 sets of RCA outputs (preamps), if so, run your front and rear channels to the amp that will drive the main speakers, run speaker wire to the speakers. Then run your subwoofer RCA outputs to the amplifier driving the subwoofer. Both amps can use the same remote turn on, power and ground locations.

get a good head unit with Sub control. It will allow you to Adjust the Subwoofer Crossover and Volume from the head unit. Most with sub control will come with 3 outputs of Rca's, If not 3 it will come with 2 pair.

what has really worked for me is Front components in the doors, Rear Coaxials in the Side panels. And a sub in the rear in a box. You have quite a few options On speakers, head units and amps.

I personally Like the Alpine PDX 5.

Its a 5 channel amp that Does wonders. and there small, and very effective and efficent.

You will need an Amp kit, Along with rca Cables. I would run a True 4ga amp kit the first time, It makes upgrades down the road easier.

The PDX-5 is a great amp. You pay for what you get in most cases though and they have an extremely small footprint which is nice when looking to hide your amp. I normally carry them but are currently on back order nation wide.
There are several other good 5-channels as well. The cool thing about a 5-channel is that it's 2 amps in one (4-channel for frotn and rear speakers plus an additional sub amp). The drawback is that the sub channels on most 5-channel amps is around 250-500watts RMS. For an F-body this is fine if your running a single 10", 12" sub (steathbox) or a pair of subs (in that power range) as most 5-channel amps are 2ohm stable in most cases but if your looking for huge bass output then a traditional class-D monoblock and seperate 4-channel would be your best bet. Really it depends on what your trying to do.
