aftermarket alarm junk!

Here is a picture of the "extra box" that is attached by a zip tie near my fuses. The guy i bought the car from said it was a factory option and you have to have the blinker on left to start the motor. but sometimes i can start it without the blinker on. this isn't factory and I think it could be the source of all my electrical problems. after we put the new motor in the car would not crank. we wiggled this box and then it would crank. I just want this piece of crap out! anyone know anything about it or how to safely remove it?

Its just a starterkill. From the looks of it, just unplug the connectionts that are just tapped into, and reconnect the wire that is cut and buttconnected.
