My car was wrecked... however after the repair I've run into an interesting problem.
I have an autometer 5" monster tach, It is a phantom series.

The tach worked fine before the wreck, however after I got the car back it reads twice as high as it should. Exactly 2x.
I have heard about the 4cylinder and 8cylinder modes, however this tach is wired correctly for the 4 cylinder mode, with the brown and orange wires cut.
I checked the ground, and checked the wire to the PCM. As I said it is very responsive, has good power it just reads exactly 2x as high as it should.
