Well, my dad went through a small midlife crisis and got a v6 96 camaro. at the time I had a 69 camaro, which was way faster than his 96. When Chevrolet made a big stink about the LS1 my dad went out and got one and had me choose the color. I think all along he was planning to give it to me.
when I graduated from college (amongst other gifts) he gave me his car (partial reason was because he is elderly now, and the car is too fast for him)
I didnt do any thing to the car at first. Then I started fixing the little things that were wrong with it, and once I ran out of things to fix, the bug had bit me and I started modding it for performance.
