My trap door...... sealed with insulation foam also. I had to open it up about a month ago thinking my pump was bad. Volt meter to the wires showed no voltage with key on. Ended up being the relay. If I was to drop the tank to find out it was the relay, I would have seriously entertained the thought of an impromptu bonfire.
