These things are not medieval helmets. Although they probably weigh as much. They are the shipping mounts for the maybach diesels we use in some of the boats at work. Again the actual alloy is a mystery but they are harder than hell to drill or cut. They throw and almost white spark when grinding. The holes were filled with grade 8.8 and 10.9 metric hardware so my boss sent those home with me too.
