1970 Camaro RS Z/28 - 21 Jump Street

Among this writer's favorite comedy films, 21 Jump Street contains scenes of immature hilarity, many of which have since become memes. But it also features a sweet 1970 Camaro Z/28 which the main characters use to establish themselves as "cool kids" as they go undercover at a high school.

1969 Yenko Camaro - 2 Fast 2 Furious

The Fast and Furious franchise is centered around two main concepts: cars and family. And there is a plethora of unique customs, timeless classics, and modern exotics featured throughout the movies. Though Camaros don't have quite as vibrant of a role as some of the other cars, there is one 1969 Yenko Camaro in particular that is employed for a spectacular role of being jumped off a cliff by Brian O'Conner.

1968 Camaro SS - Eat My Dust

If it's an exaggerated, corny version of American values in the '70s you're after, Eat My Dust is the film for you! There isn't much to be said about the artistic value of this film, but it does feature a tasty '68 Camaro SS in a starring role.

1979 Camaro Z/28 - Fast Times at Ridgemont High

This 1982 comedy/drama chronicles the unruly adventures of a group of high school students in SoCal. The 1979 Camaro Z/28 in Fast Times at Ridgemont High plays an interesting role in this one. One that doesn't end well.

1972 Camaro Z/28 - The Gumball Rally

There's no shortage of Z/28s here, which speaks to the unparalleled historic coolness of this trim of the Camaro. And arguably the most iconic role a Z/28 has had in Hollywood is The Gumball Rally, a movie inspired by the coast-to-coast race the Cannonball Dash. Interesting factoid about this film: the car's engine actually blew while filming the movie. They temporarily replaced it with a motor from a rental!

Camaro Concept Bumblebee - Transformers

Perhaps the other side of the argument on the most iconic Camaro movie role is Bumblebee from the 2007 Transformers film. This was the concept car that became the fifth-gen Camaro, which went into production a couple of years after the movie came out. What better way to introduce a concept in grand fashion than to have it as the centerpiece of a blockbuster movie?
