Introduction to Kindig-it

Kindig-it, the custom car fabrication shop made famous by the "Bitchin' Rides" TV show, has been transforming vehicles into unique masterpieces for years. Their repertoire includes a wide array of cars, from Fords and Chevys to Dodges and Mercedes, each reimagined with their distinctive touch. The shop's creativity and craftsmanship have garnered a significant following and a reputation for excellence in the custom car industry.

The Birth of the CF1 Roadster

In 2021, Kindig-it embarked on a new venture: serializing some of their greatest hits. This initiative led to the creation of the CF1 roadsters, a modern homage to the 1953 Corvette. Unlike mass-produced cars, each CF1 is unique and holds immense value. 11 CF1s have previously been crafted, and the one you see in the images above is number 12.

The Caduceus: CF1 Number 12

The CF1 number 12 is the latest addition to the CF1 series, aptly named Caduceus after the staff carried by Hermes, the herald of the Greek gods. Staying true to the CF1 design philosophy, Caduceus features a Corvette-inspired carbon fiber body that has been meticulously refined to achieve a smoother and more streamlined appearance. The one-piece windscreen and five-spoke polished wheels with knock-off-like hubs further enhance its vintage charm.

Under the Hood

Beneath its sleek exterior, this build houses a powerful Lingenfelter LS V8 engine with a polished stack intake. This particular model is equipped with an automatic transmission, though Kindig-it has also produced a few six-speed manual versions. The dual exhaust system ensures the engine's powerful roar is both heard and felt, while disc brakes on all four wheels provide the necessary stopping power to keep this beast in check.

Interior and Aesthetics

The interior of the CF1 number 12 is as meticulously crafted as its exterior. Painted in a deep shade of red to complement the saddle leather interior, the car features bucket seats, a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, and black dial gauges. This combination of elements creates a luxurious yet sporty ambiance, perfectly aligning with the vehicle's overall aesthetic.

The Auction

Currently, the CF1 number 12, Caduceus, awaits its new owner at Mecum's Harrisburg, Pennsylvania event, scheduled for the end of the month. While the exact auction estimate remains unknown, previous CF1 models have fetched as much as $572,000. This reflects not only the high demand for these bespoke vehicles but also Kindig-it's enduring legacy in the world of custom car fabrication.
