SEMA 2012: Dakota Digital Shows Off
The Goodguys folks don’t exactly hand out their Muscle Machine of the Year award, so you’d expect the 2012 winner to be something special—and it is.

Built by Lakeside Rods & Rides on an Art Morrison chassis, and packing an LSR by six-time NHRA Pro Stock champ  Warren “The Professor”Johnson mated to a beefy Gearstar box, “The Professor” is a slick silver rocket which retains the 2nd-gen aesthetic while adding an otherworldly smoothness that’s striking in photos—and even more so in person. The C-pillar might be polarizing—I see hints of a Mustang Fastback—but against PPG’s Porsche Silver, the clean interior and overall attention to detail, I think it works.
