IS my MPH good for a 12 pass
ok i took my1998 m6 trans am to the track wih just 4.10s hooker catback stock 16 inch tires and a hpp3 for the gear swap ran a 13.30 at 105.91 witha 1.98 60 ft.i was leaving real low about 1500 and it hooked good just wasnt brave enought to go any higher .im thinking this shoudl be good for som high 12s.since then i have installd LID, longtubes true duals ,smooth bellow port polish maf.so i should see like 12.80s or amd i mistakign badly lol

probably not gonna hit the twelves just yet. MY mph last night was 107.6 and I had a 13.2 my sixty foot was a 2.1 though since I have an A4 no stall and stock gears. I do have true duals, LT's tr 224 cam, ported TB and MAF and all free mods. You may hit 13.1 or 13 if you launch significantly higher rpms and it still bites. Through on some drag radials and it may be plausible but at 105 mph you need better 60' times...

id say it is. i did 2x 12 second runs last week, and both were around the same MPH as you. my first was a 12.98@105.78 and the other was a 12.94@106.56, so it is possible. both were with a 1.9 60ft. and to date, my best MPH was 110, but it wasnt a 12 second run

But Lightnings are deadly from a dig and they're not as fast up top.
And for the thread starter- it all depends on what methods you use to get your time down. If you get a ram air set-up it'll help your mph more than your ET, if you get sticky tires, they would theoretically lower your mph, but greatly decrease your ET.

being an m6...i think it will take at least a 107 mph trap speed to get you into the 12s, assuming you cut a 2.0x 60' or better...
if you've done longtubes, you will definitely have the mph, just keep your 60 down and you should have no problems.
or you could get a 12 bolt and clutch and dump it @ 6k on slicks, then your previous mph would've been more than enough
