Does Anyone Know What Options Came On A WS6?
I am a Newer Owner of a 2000 Formula WS6. This is my first Pontiac, and I was wanting to know what comes optional wise in a WS6 Package? Everything on the car including the suspension that I have looked at seems to be stock. What does a WS6 Package Mean and Include?

Ram air and an upgraded suspension i believe. Some options were the Hurst shifter, 12 disc changer, traction control, t tops, power seats, leather. Someone else can add whatever i forgot

WS6 includes
Higher Rate 1LE Springs (`98-mid `00)
32mm front swaybar
Specific valving Decarbon Shocks
17x9 Wheels with 275/40 Goodyears
Ram Air Hood with taller lower Airbox
Powersteering cooler
Low resrtiction exhaust (different muffler and tips vs regular V8 cars)
Mandatory extra cost 3.23 performance gear set when ordered with and Automatic trans.
This is the WS6 option anything else Leather, Hurst shifter, TCS etc... are seperate otions and NOT part of the package.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate the good info. I have noticed from side measurements of the wheel well from right side to left that the ride hieght by wheel well is off about one inch. 27'' inch whell well height to 28'' from drivers side to passanger side rear. This is very simlar to how my 99' Z28 was Stock. The springs them self when removed. looked stock to me. What spring company did GM use? I know my buddies SS has the SLP spring on it.Just Curious.
There were only 233 WS6 Formula Coupes produced in 2000, last year of the WS6 Formula too. Mind me asking, but how much did you pay?
Tonight I have come across at least 4 members on the board with a 2000 WS6 Formula, I know 1 was parted out about a month ago by another member, I would really like to get a count and see how many have survived this long. I see them now and again on ebay too, and it seems people just dont realize how rare they are...I bought mine locally 3 years ago and am the 5TH owner of this car...crazy!!! Thankfully I am the last owner too, she needed a good home. Congrats on your new ride bro !!!!!

Hey bro, no, I do not have an F quick account or anything, but I should probably start one someday, looks cool.
You actually have a Trans Am WS6....hmmm, ok, so in the Pontiac line, there is the base Firebird, then the Formula, then the Trans Am, then the Firehawk....all based off the base Firebird model. In the WS6 package, you get all the goodies mentioned above. The Formula differs from the T/A in that it does not have the what I call "ground effects", larger rear wing, and larger front bumper with bigger integrated fog lights. The Formual WS6 is the stripped down base model body, but has the LS1, M6, 3.42 gears etc. It weighs lighter than the T/A WS6 and not as many were produced.
The production numbers on your T/A WS6 run in the 1000's....I can give you a more exact number later today when I get home.
Yeah Chevy made it easy, base, RS, Z28 and SS, Pontiac really spread out the options and packages and it is confusing, so sorry to quote the low production number cause I thought you had a Formula WS6.
But hey, you still got a good deal on the car at that price, and with a little TLC, will still be a good investment in the long run.
Heres a link to some pics of my car, you will be able to see the diffrences.
I just put the splitter on the front, this is not from the factory

Allrighty, checked it out, there were 7,166 Trans Am coupes w/ the WS6 package built in 2000....not sure what the breakdown is from there on options,colors,etc...on a side note, in 2002, there were 12,212 T/A copues with the WS6 package.
But still, for $3500, thats a sweet deal, put another $3000 into it and it will turn even more heads....Usually the $3500 T/As are beat to hell and look rough, bad paint, dents, etc....coulda fooled me looking at the pics, I would figured at least $8000 for the car.

Time to change your signature! Formula WS6's were extremely rare and 2000 was the last model you could get a WS6 Formula. 01-02 was Trans Am only.Car looks good and you got a great price
