Knock Sensors - Intake off, should I replace??
While I have my intake off of the car, should I replace my factory knock sensors with a pair of new GM sensors? My stock units are working perfectly but I have 95,000 miles on them. I would hate to have to open her up again in 20K or so. What is the life expectance out of a set of these factory sensors?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

Yes, I have a few toys that I have collected over the years. But I always build and purchase on a budget. I'm **** that way. I figure that I can save a buck or two here or there (easy if you commit to doing the work). And believe me, it all adds up in the end. I always research extensively; this way I can buy right and most importantly, BUY ONCE!!!
Thanks to this board (and many other similar forums) and its members, I have been very fortunate with my purchasing decisions. Be it new components from supporting vendors or used parts from the classified section. There is tons of useful information available if you weed through the crap, because everyone seems to take the time to help and that kind of input from others personal experience is priceless.

If I changed the sensors I would also change the harnes, do not use any thing on the threads, tork them to specs, seal around the rubber caps with silicon and build a bridge 1/4" high around the plugs with silicon- leave the bridge open on the rear. I lay a
cover of saran wrap of something over the top of bridge so that it will not stick to bottom of intake
just my .02
