low buzzing noise from dashboard
ok on my gxp with the key on nothing else. there is this constant buzzing noise from my dashboad not real loud but its there. I thought maybe the noise would change if using turn signal or turn radio on and off. Same with blower motor nothing changes the pitch of the constant buzzing noise. Could it be a relay or somthing? I guess leave the radio turned up and never hear it lol. Anybody have similiar issue or fix? Oh yah the noise stays on when engine is running or not. Stops when turn key off.

Edit: Is the sound coming from the speakers or under the dash? If it's from the speakers, disregard the stuff below, as I have no answers.
Our cars have little servo motors that operate the inner doors of the ventilation system. Normally, when they go bad, you get a clunk-clunk-clunk-clunk sound from under the dash under certain conditions. It's possible that one of the motors could have a gear completely stripped out and freely spinning.
There are two sets of these motors: One set under the dash in the driver-side footwell, closest to the center stack, the other set is located behind the glove box. You might want to listen closely to those areas to try and narrow it down.

I would bet it is your aspirator in the headliner, right in front of the driver's head. It is a little motor that senses air temperature for the HVAC system. That are known to get noisy, especially when it turns cold. In fact, try gently pressing in on the headliner, underneath the visor, and see if the pitch changes.

Either way, it should be easy to discern whether either of these two things are the culprit.

Anybody know where you can get a monsoon speaker on the cheap?? I know the one on the center dash is buzzing like crazy and its getting annoying. If I could get a good used or a new one cheap that would be nice. Anybody know where to get one. Thanks Jeff

I hea the same noise I always thought it was my keys or something rattlin in the glove box? Still haven't found the cause of it, also I been hearing a whistling sound as if my sunroof is open? Any suggestions on that?

Its not from the speakers its some electrical thing. I told the dealer that there was a buzzing sound coming from under the driver side dash when i had my warranty and they fixed it. Ill try and find the paper work for it tonight when I get off work.
The monsoons do give off a buzzing sound though, but the one from under the dash is something else.

I went to a local shop and they said it sounds like the aspirator, it goes into the dealership tomorrow for that to get fixed along with a bad strut or shock in the rear. Also two of the almighty monsoon speakers r blown and they will b getting replaced. I have only drove the gxp less than 2000 miles and I decided to check oil. What do ya know. Only 3 quarts low. Wtf! I'm going to have them install the new opg and hope that fixes that issue.

Good luck with that. The dealer told me they had to do an oil consumption watch so I have to wait 3k miles in 500 mile increments for them to figure lo out what I already know
