First time with drag radials.
What psi should I run in my mickey thompsons.
My car is just a bolt on 01 ws6...factory ls6 intake, full exhaust, lid and tune with drag radials. I wanna see what it will do before my stall. Im hoping to hit 8.5's on the 1/8th
Should I drop them down to 20psi...should I heat them up real good or just clean them off.
With m/ts...should I leave from idle and flash the converter or should I stall it up a bit.

You want to keep the PSi as high as possible without you spinning. With stock gears and converter spinning shouldnt be too much of an issue. I have a similar set up, except I have LT's and no cats and Nittos(Which arent as good as MTs). Right now its hot out so you should be able to run a higher PSi. The higher the better as long as your not spinning. As for the launch, I noticed my first car didnt like being stalled high. I think every car is slightly different. Just try idle, 1k and see what works best.

In my experience, though, a good launch with Mickeys depends more on heating them up well than tire pressure. Even with the stock converter, give them a good prolonged smoky burnout. Stall it up a little bit, stomp and go.

I actually ran with 30lbs. the car seemed to run descent for just an exhaust and tune car.
It was real humid out and storms were just down the road...it literally rained 3 miles from the track.
r/t .270
60' 2.003
330 5.6
1/8th 8.504
mph 85.87
I really felt the car had more in it...it felt good on the top end but seemed to just bog off the line...maybe the tires stuck to good and just held it back...if that makes since...Ive heard with stock tires and sticking it just seemed to pull it down...Im hoping to break a 7.99 with a good stall.
