Porsche 944 LT1 swap for sale
Welp, its time to move on and sell a few cars, cuz hey, I can't drive them all.
1985.5 Porsche 944 stuffed with an LT1. The engine is a 1995 LT1 V8 out of a Camaro Z28. It runs great and only has around 50k miles on it. This car is a blast to drive, and can be easily daily driven if wanted to. The swap was done with the Renegade Hybrids swap kit and accessories. Check out Renegade Hybrids website for more info.
The car currently has the A/C compressor and everything needed for it to function, just needs a belt to drive the compressor. Heater is fully functional aswell. The body on this 944 has NO rust, and is very solid. Paint shows some age, but is still in great shape.
It has power windows and mirrors, sunroof, and a Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo/amp. The black interior is in good condition. The instruments have been professionally converted where required for the V8 engine, and all work perfectly except for the fuel-mileage gauge.
The master cylinder has been resized to help compensate for the removal of the vacuum booster (necessary to accommodate the wider engine), resulting in a higher-effort but effective brake system. An adjustable proportioning valve achieves proper front-to-rear balance. All friction surfaces have been resurfaced and even the parking brakes have been rebuilt. The wheels have been upgraded to BBS 3-piece modulars, 16x7 fronts and 16x8 rears, fitted with 205/55 and 245/50 tires.
Additional pictures: http://www.whodyautomotive.com/944/
Above and beyond the LT1 kit, the following items are also installed in the car:
* New custom wiring harness made for the swap
* Fiberwerks front bumper(not painted), stock bumper comes with aswell
* Koni adjustable struts
* BBK Throttle Body
* Ceramic coated Sanderson headers
* BBS wheels and newer BFG tires
* Clarion stereo with amp
* Grant steering wheel
* LT4 intake
* 3 inch custom exhaust with cutout.
I have over $18,000 in receipts that went into this car, should make someone a very nice street car or cruiser. I am looking for $10,000 OBO. Selling because I have way to many toys. And not enough time.
Contact me with any further questions at Chevelle_7d2@yahoo.com or call (402) 617-1972 and I will return your call.
Thanks,
Ryan

Very nice engine bay - I like the powder coating - most people probably don't know that the 944 was a 4cyl car. How much does the car weigh? I saw an LS1 transplant into a late 80's 300Z - cool car, and was only 3050lbs w/owner at the track - ran 11's all day.......

I've been asked a few questions from people about the car, so I figure Ill just post up some more info.
It is a clear title, the chassis has 148,000miles, since the swap I've put on about 2k miles, all glass is in great shape, I have many numerious parts to go along with the car such as (extra fenders, stock motor parts, ect). Thanks.

Well, these cars use transaxles, which are used as both the transmission and rear diff. It then has CV shafts that connect to it. So, to answer your question, it is 944 transaxle that is used.
