How much heat can the PCM take?
As you can see from the pic below, my PCM is currently near the bellhousing.
Will the PCM be OK in that location, or is the heat too much?
It's there basically because one of the engine wiring harnesses is too short to move it anywhere else, and I'd rather not rip that part of the harness apart to lengthen it if possible.

I have my computer on the passanger side inner fender only a few inches from the header, and I have had no problems. I have about 10000 miles on it since the swap. It seems that the computer is pretty tough, I would think that your location will be fine.

If you are concerned with heat, just make a small heat shield and maybe cover it with a thermal barrier of some sort.
