Default Steering wheel

Hey guys I tried the seach, maybe someone can help me. I just sold my old steering wheel to some guy and he wants to return it. Is it possible that the column on a 99 is different from a 02 column? He says that the wheel doesn't fit and is loose. I haven't come across this problem so far at work. Let me know, thanks!

'01-02 incorporates audio controls and is much larger where as the 98-99 does not and is smaller.

i have a 02 wheel and airbag on my 98. if he was dumb enough not to realize that he needed to buy a new airbag for the 00+ steering wheel he is probably just trying to cover up for his mistake and have you give him a refund

I'm guessing you are talking about Camaro wheels because I think the Firebirds all had the same wheels from 98-2002.
