Just had the entire car repainted, VFN 3" SS cowl, spolier. I just got it back today. I had the factory spoiler and hood repainted in case I need them in the future. This is the factory color - Bright Purple Metallic only 95 Z28's were made in this color.

I have a new wings west front grill that is painted and ready to be installed as well.
I am really pleased at the way it came out, the car had looked like crap for almost a year prior to this.

How much for the repaint?
You wouldn't believe the price. I've got a few parts on the car that cost more than I paid for the paint and the body work.
I had a friend who works as a painter at a local dealership do it for me. I wouldn't have been able to afford it if it wasn't for him.

The car looks damn good! Maybe some clear corners and some 35th LE stripes to match the silver wheels? Are the photos just dark, because it looks alot darker than the '98 bright purple.

I've never been able to take a picture that does the color justice.
I am considering clear corners, but I don't want then if they are going to leak.
I usually run Bogarts with skinnys and ET Streets. I had to switch wheels and tires because of the rain.

Looks good. Like Tony said, I wonder how some 35th stripes would look around the vfn hood?

I really think that z28 hoods look very bland, ss hoods or even more the cowl hoods just give the car a way more appealing "personality"

The hood comes in at a little over $600 after shipping. It took approx a month to recieve from the order date (VFN makes them as they are ordered.) They recommend that it be on the car for 3-4 weeks before painting, so it takes a lot of patience.
The alignment was pretty good. (a little high at the back by the windshield.)

The underside is a rough~ish fiberglass, with a crash zone~ish frame. The grill was included (I did not expect it to be.)

It's a pretty strong heads/cam, 12bolt/4:11 combination. I plan on running nitrous on it again soon. I will be running it for the first time on Bogarts and ET streets this Friday.
