Hey any stories of guys, with tinted windows??? Tickets??? and anyone with limo all the way around??? Anyone harassed

I have 5% all the way around. I get pulled over all the time for it! I love the way it looks but hate how obsessed the cops are over it. <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" /> I'm getting mine tinted back to legal. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

5% all the way. Never hasseled or ticketed over 10,000 miles. It is an excuse to be pulled over for any illegal mods, after a night out. You will have to be careful

I too have limo (5%) all the way around, looks awesome and have not been hassled once by the cops...check out my car, 2001 SOM WS6 only one pic for now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I've had limo tint on three different cars. Never hak a problem nor do I know of anyone that has. Limo tint is the norm here in Florida,(The Sunshine State). Limo tint on my 1996, no pics of the 1999 yet though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I had 20% on the sides and I still have 5% limo on the back, I got hassled a lot mainly because I live in a town with a LOT of cops...the car looked really really really good, and I am seriously thinking about doing it again... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I have 5% on the sides and 15% on the back and I haven't had anything said to me yet and I am about the only person that has it b/c no1 else will go darker than 10 b/c most people get in trouble for it

I am looking for a tint shop that carries a good quality 2% tint that won't fade.... I am also gunna get the back tinted to 5% soon if I can't find a place that has any 2%

I had 35% all the way around. For about 7 months I was fine, but then I met officer ******** who I got 3 tickets from in less than 2 months. I'm originally from Long Island NY, and have no problem there. I go to school in upstate NY where the police don't seem to have anything better to do. I only have 35% on the back window now.

i have 2%on the rear, 20% on the sides and 35% on the windshield. had it like this for about a year and have been next to many cops at the redlight w/no problems (yet).

I have run several tint shops and have never heard of 2%? The only way to achieve that is with 2 layers of 5%... Want to keep the cops off your azz, roll your window down so they can see you when you pull up next to them. <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" />

BlueWheels....... I didn;t reallt think they made a 2% either but I asked the guy that did my windows what was the darkest he had and he said his company carries a 2% but it isn't very good and he also said he doesn't like to use it since it faded and might cause trouble from some "picky people" (like myself)

Okay. I have 5% all the way around and 35% on the windshield. It looks sweet.
Don't do 2%. Do you realize that 0% is NO light transmission? 5% is bad enough at night. Don't do two layers of 5%. Most shops will charge you for two tintings and the more layers of tint, the greater the distortion you see through your window.

You realize that not only are you not making any sense, but you are getting upset at me over NOTHING. I simply stated that I think 2% is too dark. And yes, most places, if they have to put two layers of tint on will charge you double. They are using twice the amount of tint and twice the labor goes into it.
I posted my opinion on the 2% for the original poster, not to **** you off.

I have two layers of 5% double over, which is the equivilant to ~1.5. My car is impossible to see into during a bright sunny day, and it looks like the windows are spray painted black at night. I can see fine out of the side windows, the rear window is a little tricky during the day but I don't ever have any problems. However at night, opening up the door for reverse is a must <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
