Re: TINTED WINDOWS ??? 5% all the way. Never hasseled or ticketed over 10,000 miles. It is an excuse to be pulled over for any illegal mods, after a night out. You will have to be careful

Re: TINTED WINDOWS ??? I've had limo tint on three different cars. Never hak a problem nor do I know of anyone that has. Limo tint is the norm here in Florida,(The Sunshine State).

I had 20% on the sides and I still have 5% limo on the back, I got hassled a lot mainly because I live in a town with a LOT of cops...the car looked really really really good, and I am seriously thinking about doing it again... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I am looking for a tint shop that carries a good quality 2% tint that won't fade.... I am also gunna get the back tinted to 5% soon if I can't find a place that has any 2%

Re: TINTED WINDOWS ??? I had 35% all the way around. For about 7 months I was fine, but then I met officer ******** who I got 3 tickets from in less than 2 months. I'm originally from Long Island NY, and have no problem there. I go to school in upstate NY where the police don't seem to have anything better to do. I only have 35% on the back window now.

Re: TINTED WINDOWS ??? I have run several tint shops and have never heard of 2%? The only way to achieve that is with 2 layers of 5%... Want to keep the cops off your azz, roll your window down so they can see you when you pull up next to them. <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" />

I didn;t reallt think they made a 2% either but I asked the guy that did my windows what was the darkest he had and he said his company carries a 2% but it isn't very good and he also said he doesn't like to use it since it faded and might cause trouble from some "picky people" (like myself)

Don't do 2%. Do you realize that 0% is NO light transmission? 5% is bad enough at night. Don't do two layers of 5%. Most shops will charge you for two tintings and the more layers of tint, the greater the distortion you see through your window.

Re: TINTED WINDOWS ??? You realize that not only are you not making any sense, but you are getting upset at me over NOTHING. I simply stated that I think 2% is too dark. And yes, most places, if they have to put two layers of tint on will charge you double. They are using twice the amount of tint and twice the labor goes into it.
I posted my opinion on the 2% for the original poster, not to **** you off.

Re: TINTED WINDOWS ??? I have two layers of 5% double over, which is the equivilant to ~1.5. My car is impossible to see into during a bright sunny day, and it looks like the windows are spray painted black at night. I can see fine out of the side windows, the rear window is a little tricky during the day but I don't ever have any problems. However at night, opening up the door for reverse is a must <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
