Default Ls1 m6 console in a lt1?

Is this a direct bolt in? I want to put an ls1 console in a 1995 lt1 6 speed? Also where can i get a plate to get ride of the tcs button since i dont have that on the 1995 or could i put something else that came stock there like a little cubby hole?

Well the 1997 LT1 came with the new style dash and console . . . so yes it lines up . .

Will it fit under the old style dash that is the other question . . .

I don't believe it will. The 93-96 dash has a different layout under the radio/ac unit.

I did it a while back, the 93-96 dash does not compliment the 97-02 console very well...

Theres alittle tab under the front of the console that if you dont cut it off it will sit flush with the dash, you just cant put the front bolt in it.

trans am it doesnt matter, they didnt change the dash, they bolt right in

my friend put the LS1 console in his formula. It fits fine, but his is an auto so idk if there will be a problem with an M6 or not

I just put one in my 96 TA (automatic). It looks fine. Only thing is that there is a small gap at the front between the carpet and the bottom of the console. It's not really noticeable unless you are just looking for it. I can take a pic tonight and post it if you want.

I just put a 2000 console in my 94 t/a m6 and it fits great,i did have to drill out the bracket under the ash tray.The bracket under the ashtray has a hole for a plastic pin on the bottom of the console that has to be enlarged.That is the only thing that i had to do.
