I have an 01 Trans Am and want to find or buy a WS6 hood w/ Ram Air. Has anyone had experience with a good supplier or specifically; DURAFLEX? They seem to have good reviews for fit and quality. Then I need a good paint matcher...

I have a TruFiber from the WS6 store and would say it fits prit near perfect..... took a bit to get there but fitment is way good !
What did they charge you to paint it and did it match first time? I've read many negative reviews from TRUEFIBER and mostly positive from Duraflex, now I am surprised. How recent was your purchase?

The don't come painted nor do they paint...I had my buddy do it who is a painter. They come shipped white.
I bought the hood about 5 years ago but just got it on last spring.
@98CayenneT/A that is excellent fitment, appears to fit as good as OEM from those pics above.
How much "work" did it take to make that happen? Just mounting adjustment, or did any edges need to be trimmed/reformed, etc.?
Just a bunch of mounting and adjusting. No cutting and reshaping was done.
Stuff like a fender washer or two in certain spots along the fender line to suck the fenders in a tit... by far the most time consuming part was the headlight cover adjustment but I'm going to call that part perfect.... new rubber hood bump stops for slight up and down adjustment for the hood where it meets the fender and headlight cover.... just stuff like that.

IROC Motorsports has some nice looking hoods. No experience with them, but they are licensed to sell Mecham hoods and spoilers. Mecham had good fitting hoods and spoilers.

That hood is an accurate copy of a ws6 hood. The stock hood fitment is something to be desired, spent a bit of futzing around to get the headlight gaps to line up with it, and mine is a factory ws6 that I bought new.
Don't get me wrong, 98CayenneT/A's hood presents with excellent fitment (thanks to his adjustment efforts), but the actual hood itself is not *quite* an accurate copy of a factory WS6 hood in terms of appearance. The recessed groove around each nostril is not cut as deeply as a factory hood, and the grille inserts are a bit different (particularly in how they attach to the scoops). It also appears to have Firehawk-style heat extractors, which were never part of an original WS6 hood.
Again, great fitment in his case for sure, but if someone is looking for OEM "accurate-as-possible" then I would at least suggest looking for one without the heat extractors as that's an obvious difference. The other things are pretty minor.
