Cracked door panels are a common problem...keep an eye on Ebay - door panels pop up every once in a while. I've got a new one sitting upstairs that I will be installing in the spring, but will be performing the fix to help prevent it from happening in the future. I suggest you do the same.

I'm on my second set. I just gave up on trying to fix them. I did the inside fix to make it less noticeable. Short of reinforcing the backing of it, there's not much you can do.
