what about the "tangs" on the factory ignition tumbler? Looks as if it will hit and same goes with M6 cars getting to the button to release the key... Vettes have a smooth tumbler with no tangs.... Would be cool tho

Hmm would it work if you cut the fbody key and this remote's key behind the vats chip, attached it by like welding it or something.
Cons:
If you use your key to actually start the car, it could possible break while in the ignition.

it's kind of scary how easy those older remotes are to program.
as for that flip key thing it looks cool but all i can think of when i see one of those is that scene in gone in 60 seconds where otto's dog eats the mercedes ones and they have to get him to crap them out, lol.

the only problem i see is with the ignition in the f bodies. our ignitions have what we call "wings" in the industry. on a vette or new trucks they dont have wings, just a hole. the ones in the OP's picture are like a newer truck style, (B102 or B106 blanks) as opposed to the 25 some odd resistor that go on a differently styled "VATS" key that goes in the 4th gen fbods.

there are only 15 different VATS blanks for the fbody BTW.

I want to see this work honestly. I'd be different. Besides why wouldnt you carry your door key? If you have trips and actually lock them then you need that key. But you shod never rely in the doorless remote or whatever invade that sort if thing does happen.
