Default HID Problems NO IDEA

So i bought fogs and low beams from ddm tuning and i installed the fogs. My problem is that when they are on for about 5 minutes and i'm driving my wipers will start to move a bit and a weird sound comes from the wiper motors as far as i can tell. Only does it when im driving so far. Does this mean i need to upgrade the wire harness for the fogs? If so should i upgrade the low beams too when i install them?

Umm the wipers and fogs are totally separate circuits. That is really... weird.

have you tried turning them on in a parking lot, and trying to trace out the sound? i dont see how this issue could be connected to your fog lights. Im not saying it isnt, but it just seems very wierd.

sure the weird noise isn't the ballast? I know when mine are on, they have a high pitched background type noise.

Mine are doing the same thing. I have been tryin to find out where the sound is coming from but no luck yet. It is just the fogs. Turn the fog lights off and it goes away.

Pretty sure its the ballasts. Open your hood and listen to them and then shut the lights

Maybe it's putting a high draw on the box that controls your Daytime Running Lamps. I have HID Lows and Fogs but I did the mod to disconnect the Daytime Running Lamps and I don't have any issues with it. I also did the wiring mod that lets you run your fogs with the parking lamps on and not have your headlamps on.

Alright I believe it is the drl's. I drove around with fogs on til I got it to make sound. I was able to determine that with the fog hid on, the parking lights on and no engine I got no sound. Then turn key to where drl come on and then i get the weird sound. I assume then that the drl's are causing the problem but how come it does not do it right away. It took awhile for this problem to show up. Also the sound that is makes is coming from driverside firewall or under drivers side dash. ( I did not take apart to see where sound is coming from but it is not coming from the drl box behind the radio.)

i have the same problem. only when the lights are on, my wipers will move up and down ( not all the way, just at the park position when you have them on and they are in delay ) it drives me nuts! i also have done the drl mod but that isnt helping. where and how is this relay installed. another thing is, my friends have the same hid kits as i do and have no problems. is this problem year specific? my car is a 98...if that matters...

JUST ordered the wire harness hopefully will have it installed and tested by next week!! hope this solves the use. I believe they are drawing to much power and causing weird issues. Glad i'm not the only one, even tho its not a good thing

what harness did you order and from where? is the place that has the harness saying this will fix the problem or are they guessing?

hey guys ordered from a guy on ebay, since ddm wants just a bit to much for there kit. My car is a 98 as well, maybe we just got lucky with the freaks of the bunch! Curious about how to do those 2 mods (DRL's and Fogs on without anything else).

Hope this works or i'm up **** creek!
