Default How to Make Your own Custom Cylinder Head Cover Video

Was going to buy a Cylinder head cover on the internet and they are way to expensive to me so I decided to make my own. It is very easy to make and only costs about $15. I am only using the cover for car shows as it is cardboard but it actually could hold up to daily driving, I may test it. Thanks for watching. In the very last picture in the video you will notice one bolt is missing, this is because I need to buy a shorter one for that corner. Thanks for watching!

Looks good. I couldn't tell it was cardboard from the pic.

Not bad, You could take it a step furthur and get some thin sheet metal and trace your template on it and cutting it out.

I dunno know how well the cardboard is gonna stand up to under hood conditions.

Thanks guys! My dad has a plasma cutter and some scrap sheet metal, so I will try to do one out of metal next time I go to my parent's house. This "Cylinder Head Plate" (thanks Sommer86@6LE) is just for car shows right now, definitely don't want to get it wet.

70 dollars?!? Who the heck is sellin' for $70?!?
Why not contact this guy to see if he'd make one for ya?!?
Not $15, but still, ...

Probably cost ya about $53 shipped, ..., & come with the button-head stainless steel bolts too.

I know, you got the joy of makin' it yourself this way too tho!
Nice vid, ...

You can probably find the button-head bolts at your local hardware store. They might have chrome plated, or the stainless steel type. Or gimme an address & pay for the shipping/minimal cost & I'll send ya 4 of'em!

*Just an update* I've been daily driving my car the last few months and the plate is in perfect condition. No warping, shriveling or anything, I can't believe it!

I wanted one of those back in the day, I think they're cool. My supercharger pulley mounts to those holes now though.
