Dash Question (Firebird & Trans Am)
How do you get the dash off to install guages in the vents? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
The Z28s have a frame that just pops on & off around the vents. Firebirds and T/As dash looks like its one piece.
Thanks!

You don't have to take the dash out...just pop the vents out and you can drill a hole to run the wires and what not thru the heater duct!

I thought there were tabs on the back of the vent that you had to "pry" so you could pop them out! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
And if thats the case... How do I get them out?

Either...
A. You can pull real hard and the vent will either: Break or Come out.
Or...
B. Take a small screwdriver and pop it in at the TOP of the vent, and the front will pop off. Then pull all the little blades out... then you can pop the tabs out and get the vent out without damaging it.

Thanks! I think I'll try B! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Dash Question (Firebird & Trans Am)
There are 2 small tabs about 2-3 inches back inside the vent. Use 2 small pics or screw drivers to gently pry these tabs away from the outter ring. The vents will come right out.
