Default Coloring Stainless Steel Brake lines

I was just wondering if there is a way to do this or if anyone has done it before? I'm looking to color the stainless braids in a stainless steel brake line. Not sure if you could paint them, powdercoat them, or if you could have them anodized? Thoughts, opinions, experience...?

Thanks

^I believe so. I'm not terribly familiar with the anodizing process, does it consist of baking or heating?
