Best LED license plate bulb?
Ok so I'm looking for a LED I can just plug and play for my license plate that is pretty simple and will be white. I don't want any of the blue-ness..so just something white with decent brightness, nothing crazy.
What do you guys recommend?
Thanks.

As far as I know, you have two choices! The bulb in the license plate light housing is a 194. So you can either, 1. Find the brightest 194 LED you can and swap them out, or, 2. Wire in an LED strip. A bunch of us on here have wired in LED strips.
The housing the bulb sits in cuts down on the light output a bit. If you want it to JUST light up your plate, find a bright LED replacement (superbrightleds.com)
If you want it like THIS, get a strip! All you have to do is quick splice the power/ground wires from the LED strip into the wires that go to the original plate light, then stick the strip up in the bumper.

I got a 194 SMD bulb and it looks great. I don't have any pics, but its a nice bright white. I just wanted to get rid of the yellow tinge. The LED strips will light it up MUCH better, but I don't like the light cutoff it creates on the ground. I would definitely have gotten an LED strip if it was possible to avoid it.

Mine's a 48 diode SMD panel..., paid $3.50 including shipping to Canada off ebay. Some guys don't like the light cutoff from the bumper, I personally love it. It looks amazing going down the highway with a set of HID foglights with a front cutoff as well.
Oh, should also mention it is completely plug and play, it comes with a T-10 bulb adapter so all you need to do is mount the panel.

I'll prob try a 194 LED first and see how it looks. FordHater, when I said I didn't want something super bright that should have alerted you lol.
Edit: What degree beam should I be looking for?

I did read that. I just thought thought I'd show you whats out there... Clearly if you are making a thread about a standard led license plate bulb you don't know whats available.
