ok so i recieved my wsq hood about 3-4 days ago and i can't figure out if the center heat extractors are supposed to be open (see through) or not functional? i was told they are functional but the are filled...the only holes i see are on the sides of the hood which im guessing are used for the outter extractors? please help im confused if they forgot to cut mine or if its supposed to be like that?

The ones on the top in te center? I don't think those are functional. I think it's supposed to be only the sides and front. Unfortunately only a few people have gotten their hood so far and less have installed them. My understanding was they arent supposed to be functional up top but you're best bet would be to call vfn

thanks bro. ya they said they'd send me some pics because they were confused about what i was asking...i was kind of hoping they were functional but if not i wonder how hard it would be to make them functional

They should have asked you if you wanted the top ones functional or not when they made the shipping call. They are supposed to be functional.

they should be functional, or filled in.

My WSQ is being painted right now as well as have the center non-functional vents filled in.

the called me and asked if i wanted the vents open or not and i said yes please open them. they opened the front to let air into the air box but not for the center extractors...those are filled. so im trying to figure out if they're all like that or if they can be opened? if some one recieved the hood with open vents could you please post pics from above and under the hood? thanks!

I'm sure the Center Extractor's are just for appearance, and the Heat Extractors that are functions are those like on the Firehawk hoods (outter edge). Would be neat if someone some how did open their's and screened the openings tho...

ya like the 03-04 cobra's...i really thought they were supposed to be open but im guessing from the feedback they're not supposed to be. pics would be great!!

Hi Armin...
A few days ago...You spoke with our production manager who sent over pictures (via email) of how the openings of the extractors and the vents looked...from the underside of the hood.
So that we are on the same page, we asked if you could please send us some pictures of how your hood looks...so that we can better help you with this..

hi jeanie. i did recieve a fwd email but there were no pictures attached. i spoke to someone today as well and i'll be sending pics tomorrow before work. i think we have things resolved thanks for the help
