I think the car looked much better before with the black rims. Just my friendly opinion. I guess its because ive never liked the c6 z06 rims. but "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" Still a nice clean car though.

I honestly some what agree with you.

There are two main reason why I got rid of those wheels.

1: they were only 9.5" wide in the rear. This Limits me to a 275 tire, maybe 285 max.

2: being limited to a narrower tire, obviously limits traction for a 600rwhp car. Also, a 275 rear tire isn't intimidating for the power the car has.

I love the deep dish. Those wheels had a 3.5" dish. Loved them. However in my area, black wheels on a white car are everywhere. I tried to be a little different with the benefit of more traction and a "intimidating" rear end appeal.

I disagree. other than both rims being split 5 spokes, they are totally different.

What rims are they? Ive had 295/35/18 on 18x9.5 rims on the back of my car before with no issues.

Run a Drag radial.

ruff racing 280's.

im not saying a bigger tire cant be done, I personally didnt feel safe doing it to that wheel. Safety over looks for me.

I see. Ive had 295s DRs for drags (on extra set of 18x9.5) and 295s street tires for everything else. ive drag raced, SCCA race, Drift, and daily driven for over 2 years with 295s on a 9.5" rim with no problems. oh well. Nice car anyway!!
