UPS brought me....
I can clean a vehicle pretty well. But now to take it into a whole other world of "show and shine". It's gonna take practice and lots of reading but I think I'll be able to pull it off...

ive got one and I love it. You can do 5 cars in the time it takes to do one by hand.... My advice, use the wifes car as a guinea pig... Thats what I did. Her mazda never looked better... Its very difficult but not impossible to hurt your paint with it.

When you are polishing, you want slight pressure so the polish can "work". When I use it for applying wax, I just glide it across the paint. One of the best tools every made for detailing. My first one last 6 years with an average of 75 vehicles a year. Just bought the XP a couple months ago. It's a lifetime purchase if your just using it on a few vehicles.

LOL funny guy in WI.
Well, after many youtube vids and reading I went ahead and took a shot at my black T/A with a bazillion scratches and swirls. Between watching the kids and the beginner paint correction self lessons....I"M BEAT!!!
My **** was BAD!!! Its comming along really well. I bought the Mothers clay bar kit, Meguiars scratch remover and the Maguiars prewax polish...and to be followed up my the Meguiars NXT wax 2.0.
Did the whole thing in the garage and when the sun started to go down I pulled it outside for some fresh air. I'll post some pics tomorroe after I'm done in the sunlight. I'm no professional by all means (and I mean that lol) but the PC and such a huge help in this process! I think my biggest take away from this first lesson is this: I didn't have enough "clean" microfiber towels lol!

Nice, I'm liking the new toy!! I remember the first time I tried to color sand and buff/polish my black camaro I was beat, but definitely worth the time you invest in detailing your car like that. Especially a black one!!

haha, that's exactly how I look at it as well but seeing your from the midwest, I'll just wait for next spring, no point in detailing the **** out of your car if winter is around the corner.

Well, thats about all I have time for so I'm going to post a few pics. The first one is a comparison of the sail panel I did not touch at all (i'll get to that later). Overall, I'm extremely happy. The car still has numerous problems that are out of my experience level but for my first time doing this, I know the process got rid of TONS of imperfections...
Btw, the front bumper cover is getting repainted soon so please ignore it lol
I still have some practice and more learning to do but so far my interest level for this is growing more and more day by day. I look foward to using and learning different combinations of other products.
