Default Received my WSQ hood!

Hey everyone, I ordered my WSQ hood from VFN around February 15 and received it yesterday. I am anxious to put it on. What is the best thing to paint the metal mesh stuff with? I would like to paint it black. Here is a crappy pic while it is still in the box.

Nice! Are the center scoops/heat extractors open or does VFN put the mesh there to make them seem functional?

They asked me when i ordered mine if i would like it to be cut to be functional or not. I chose not to. Think back i kinda wish I would have, but still love the hood! I guess if i really want i can cut it myself, but dont think i will

I dont think I would want the center heat extractors open. Yeah, it would look nice and help keep the engine cooler, but they would funnel lots of water onto the engine during rain or just washing the car...
Are you painting the hood first?

41/2 month wait? You are a patient guy! I couldn't wait that long without calling them every week to check on the status.
