Default How to keep new headlights from hazing?

I have a new set of Depo lights for my 99 SS and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to them to keep them from hazing over like my OEM one's did. I was thinking about having someone spray a clear coar over them. Any one have a suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Hit them with some wax every once and a while. If they start to yellow use some compound, Meguires 105 will work to take out yellowing.

Opti coat them or something similar.

Yes you can wax them every few months but Opti coating is going to last up to five years.

Opti coat is kinda expensive and if you are just going to do your head lights it might not be worth it.

My stock headlights were Opti coated.. they have lasted since 2001 when the car was built and the first owner used the stuff. Never any dulling on them. I finally took a good look at the lenses when I did my projector retrofitting and noticed some type of coating and it was finally chipping away slightly on the outer edges. That's how I found out they were opti coated. Amazing stuff.

Opti-Coat actually does not have enough UV blockers for lenses, but it does work very well. Works unbelievably well for paint though.

Optimum is about to release Opti-Lens, designed specifically for lenses and I'm stoked to try it out! Keep your ear to the ground, that train is comin!

The whole reason they do it from the factory is because they are cleared. Its breaking down and failing.

I'm waiting on the stuff Go-Fast is talking about from Opti before I try and clear my lenses up again so I can do it all at once and be done with it for a while.
