Default Clear Corner LED Setup

So I researched on here and I'm guessing my word choices weren't to "key" because I had only found one thread dating back to '03... it had some useful information as far as bulb #s and what flashers I'll need to replace with to allow the LEDs to blink... but overall I've found this website to be more than useful www.superbrightleds.com

My questions are as follows: My sockets where the LED bulbs will go are FRIED, what part number is a new lighting socket for them and do they have to be spliced to connect the new sockets?

What would you suggest to go with for a clear corner? An 18, 26 or 45 SMD LED bulb??

I'm thinking about going with these, but they say "CAN BUS bulbs should not be used in non CAN BUS applications???

Which ones then??

if you havent already go to google to search. type in ls1tech, then what you are searching for. such as "ls1tech led clear corners". works alot better than the search feature here.

Here's a writeup I did on another site on how to rebuild your sockets without rewiring, including the part number of the socket you need from Autozone (Dorman makes it IIRC):

I just ordered and put some in my SS.

Not knocking superbright at all as I have been happy with everything I have purchased from them, but they are pricey.

IIRC, it was going to run me like $18 ea for the 1157's and $6 ea for the 194's from superbright. I went on fleabay and got VERY similar bulbs for $16 shipped. These fit perfectly, the 194 can't be any larger than this. Not sure if there'd be extra room to fit a bigger 1157, but these worked great.

5 SMD 194 Replacement

13 SMD 3157 Replacement

Only problem with the 194 replacement is there's the LED on the top, creating a hot spot. I painted over it. Now there's a slight cool spot, but I'd prefer that anyway.
