Wings West Front Lip + LT1 WS6..Need Help
It seems like this isn't so common, but I want to put a front lip on my LT1 Trans Am. After searching, I discovered that the wings west front lip for 98-02 T/A will not fit the LT1 T/A. A forum member said when he mounted the lip up to his '96 WS6, it was about four inches too short on each side.

So my question is, will the '93-'97 FIREBIRD lip fit the LT1 T/A? It appears that the lines/shape could match up, but I'm not sure.

Or will the '93-'97 CAMARO F1 WW Front Lip fit the LT1 T/A?

EDIT: One more lip that possibly could fit..

If anyone with experience or information could contribute, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hi!! This will be almost a direct copy from my PM but I'll share what Ive learned so far. The W Type lines up to the LT1 bumper almost flawlessly. But its too short. You must extend the sides a few inches using a plastic repair product. I use 3M Plastic Repair. I simply cut one inch in from each side and removed the "caps" from the ends. I then bolted the lip in place, including the caps. I placed a small sheet of abs plastic behind it. I trimmed a filler plate and put it in front. Filled the edges with plastic repair and from this point you just sand fill sand fill just like a bondo job. im not finished yet and ill post pics when i can.
YOU CANNOT USE ANY TYPE OF FIBERGLASS OR FIBERGLASS FINISHING PRODUCT INCLUDING BONDO OR ANY OTHER PLASTIC BODY FILLER.
I realize bondo etc is plastic, and im saying only use plastic so it may not make sense. The difference is that bondo etc is not flexible, it will crack and then fall off of your car, THERES NO WAY AROUND IT. The plastic repair stuff will bend just along with your factory stuff. You can hit a speedbump and live to scrape another day. Dont forget to add flexing agenst to your paints boys and girls!!!!
I'm planning on filling in the vents, but i was thinking of making molds of these, so maybe ill do two versions. One with and one without vents. Or maybe ill cut along the vents and create a carbon fiber lip with raised air ducts that would come up to fill these new openings in, somewhat like a ZR1. Ok, maybe ill do three versions >
