Default Which exhaust tip should I buy?

I just got my ls1 and was looking to replace the factory square tip exhaust to chrome rounded tips. Don't want something that will change the note in a bad way. Not obnoxiously loud either. Please help.Thanks.

What's an ideal size? 2.5, 3, or 3.5

I have 3" on mine, I felt the 3.5's were a little big. SS cars without the dual/dual setup were 2.5". It's really a matter of personal preference.

When I ordered my GMMG catback, I got their "premium tips".

The tips alone won't effect the volume, from my experience they will only slightly effect tone. This is totally personal preference on what you think looks best, they won't noticeably effect performance.
On Camaros I prefer CME tips, on Trans Ams I prefer corsa style tips.

I do prefer the dual tips for an exhaust tip such as seen with the Borla or Corsa exhaust tips. I have wondered if getting either of those tips will be easily installed onto the GMMG.

Not only does GMMG has the best tips (IMO) the sound of the exhaust system is 2nd to nothing! I lobe my GMMG Firehawk.

GMMG was definitely music to my ears and worth the price. I had to get the premium tips because the one that came with the catback did not look good to me at all.

CME and Corsa clones the most common. And probably the best looking IMO.

I assume you have a Camaro? IMHO no tips look better on a Camaro...

+1, either hidden, tucked up turn downs out the back, or before axle turn down dumps (IF you can handle the noise/fumes/etc.).

I think the dual SLP tips look the best.

I thought he was saying that he just wanted to change tips, and not the entire catback/muffler. If that's the case, just be aware that the pipes are not centered, as both tips 'curve' to the same side. If you just cut them off, and welded on replacements, they wouldn't look good at all.

Nothing that an exhaust shop couldn't fix fairly easily, just an FYI...

Have to disagree. If you know a guy who knows what he is doing, Corsa Clones or in my case, 3.5" tips meant for a Mercedes will fit on just fine. Everyone has their own opinion on what looks good though.
