Default Headlights and Stereo Pics

Just got finished doing the Headlight mod on my white SS. I think it looks awesome especially with the smoked corners. Hopefully I can get some pictures tomorrow in the daylight. I also snapped some pics of my reverse-glo gauges and the flush stereo plate.

The HU is a Pioneerr DEH-8600MP It's really nice and I like it alot. I'll try to get some daylight pics up today.

Derek98z: I don't think you can paint that back reflective piece, but I have the smoked corners and it looks awesome I'll try to get some daylight pics of that up too.

tons of local guys have painted the entire headlight. I have no idea how it effects light quality though.
BTW~ the stereo is awesome. I have the 7500.

Painting the reflector black is not a good idea. The reflector aims outward the light produced by the bulb (hence its name, it reflects the light). You'll notice a drop in light output and probably an increase in heat in the headlight housings since black absorbs light (and therefore heat).

I looks like some assclown backed into me while I was in a store, I'm pretty sure it was a truck or SUV. I came out and they were nowhere to be found Hopefully I 'll get it painted soon, the only upside is that there were a bunch of pockmarks in the bumper already from rocks and stuff from previous owner, so now there's even more reason to have it redone.

looks good. IMO i think if you got yourself a bezel for your gauges it would really clean up the look even more. Looks good right now and would look even better with the bezel.

100% need a bezel. Then cut the lights on the sides off and install. I have 1/2 mine done and scared to cut the other side due to the UNLEAD FUEL ONLY being lit up. I think I can safely, but will research it first. BTW, my reverse indiglo is a camaro one so I could illulminate all my dash lights to blue.

I got my gauges from www.procarparts.com. THey're silver in color (doesn't show well in pics for some reason) and light up blue or turquoise.

See how with the bezel, I don't have a full silver face on all of the gauges? That last part, were the SES light is, has some contacts and I was afraid to cut it. I safely cut the rest of the parts off with no ill effects.

you can get the bezel off ebay or McEwen sells them. T/As were blessed stock with a bezel.
