anyone installed after market steering wheel '98 camaro?
I was wondering if anyone has installed an after market steering wheel into there air bag equipped camaro/firebird. I am using a '98 camaro Z for a conversion, and have removed the air bags. But the steering wheel is pretty ugly without the air bag in it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bruce

I have contacted grant products and have received the following reply:
Sorry, but we don't make a kit for a 1998 Camaro because originally that
column came with an airbag and for liability reasons we can not suggest
anything.
So, 2fast4u, I know how to change a steering wheel, smart ***! (lol) I was hoping for information about what adapter, steering wheels, brands, etc. have been used by other people. I have tryed the adapter hub for a '67 chevelle column, but it makes the steering wheel rub on the column.
This is in my 1967 el camino, and the air bag is engineered for the camaro that has more room for the air bag to fill. So I thought that it would probably kill me if it were to deploy. So please no lectures on saftey. I would have liked the extra saftey. (I am planning on installing a 5 point harness)
I would be thankful for some advice.

Funny that grant wouldnt help, guess they get sued allot. Should be 3196, its the same for all f bods after 69 I believe. Momo also makes a hub and are not afraid to list airbag cars in their application guide, They just say "Race Only" and their hub can be used with most 6 bolt wheels

Thank you all for the input. I am thankful for everyone's tolerance with a novice like me. I have liked every wheel I have seen in this post, so I will try momo, and lecarra.
