My experience with painting calipers
VHT caliper paint takes MUCH longer to dry then the can says. It says it will be dry to the touch in 30-45 mins. Try 5+ hours. I painted the calipers in my basement, so the temp was neither hot, nor cold, nor wet, nor dry. 5+ HOURS!
I'll post pics tomorrow after the paint is finally dry.

I used VHT to paint my caliper bracket's a glossy black, then instead of painting my calipers "red". I just bought the Corvette ZO6 caliper's that are powder-coated red allready.
I think the paint dried in about 45 minutes or so.

Do you have a website where you purchased those from?

I hear the G2 paint dries really quick. You mix it with a hardening agent and it dries within the hour, so you have to be quick with brushing it on. It's aircraft style, very heat resistant, dries glossy and resists brake cleaning chemicals and brake fluid.
Next time, I plan on using it.

I used VHT-6-7 coats-outside in sun-60 degrees-dry in about 1 hour after last coat-put wheels on and drove away--paint is hard and clean,no issues after 3 weeks of daily driving--once in wettish weather...you must have had some humidity or the old paint was screwed???don't really think thats it though.... [waited only 10 minutes or so between medium thick coats]
