Default anyone with 4" cowl pics?

Does anyone have pics of an Ls1 with a 4" cowl hood? I can't decide if I want this hood or not, but the only pics I can find are on Lt1's.

No, I looked. I see the hoods everywhere, but not on Ls1's.

I think 4" is too much unless its neccesary. I love the look of cowl hoods though

yeah, that's kinda what I'm trying to decide. It's never too much if it looks good, but it's not worth it if the look isn't that great. I have a couple other hoods in mind, but they are a lot more expensive.

Default cowl

I have a 4" VFN cowl hood on my midnight blue 99 Z28 I love it. took awhile to get used to at first.....just like driving a car then hopping in a 4th gen f body for the first time ( long nose ) you get used to it after a few weeks.

yeah, it looks real good. you don't have any front pics of your car, do you? Also, do you guys with these hoods think a short person will be able to see ok?I sat in the driver's seat of someone's lt1 and could see alright, but I didn't drive it either.

Default drive

I drive mine everyday, i cant help it im addicted to the turbocharger
you could always keep the stock hood and throw it on during months you dont fell like having it on. the 4" justhave a real aggressive look to it, especially when you pull up next to cars at stoplights. I was just so tired of the common SS hood so I got that.

Yeah, I love stoplight stares. And I'm a girl, so people really stare, half of them probably think I can't drive my beast though.

My buddy has one and I can definitely say that it takes a lot away from driver visibility/view. I couldn't have one that tall for a daily driven car.

Your car is gorgeous. I'm a little nervous about the visibility over the hood, but what do I need to see on the other side for anyways. A rearview mirror is all I need to see the cars I'm dragging, right?

The visibilty isnt too bad, it is a bitch to go up hills though sometimes. I'd rather have the hood than not have it.
