Default When using Z2 Pro

Do I need to use a regular wax first (NXT or something) and then use the Z2 or is the Z2 a protecant on it's own? My car is black so I'm looking for the best shine I can get.

From what I've read, you are NOT to use regular wax along with the Zaino process.
Zaino is a polish that is suppose to be 'layered'.
Wash with Dawn to remove old wax.
Claybar.
Wash.
Z5, Z6, Z5, Z6, Z5, Z6, Z2, Z6, Z5, Z6, Z2, Z6, ... (Z2 & Z5 w/ ZXF to reduce cure time.)
Use the detailer spray, Z6, between coats of Z5 for darker color cars, Z2 for lighter colored cars, or for finishing on darker cars.

I need to try the new Z-PC to see if helps eliminate spider-webbing effect. I've used the 3M Swirl Mark Remover in the past & it's gotten better. But still not perfect.

More info to follow from other users I hope, ..., but that's my process above, ...

That's exactly right.

Z2 Pro is a sealant, so it will protect very well by itself.

You can never see enough pictures of black cars that have been Zainoed properly. Here are a few of my buddy's 97 TA that we did (wash, clay, wash, ZPC swirl remover, ZFX enabled Z2) Enjoy

you could always opt for micro fiber. I tried it once and now nothing else touches my car.
