Thumbs up Meguiar's Deep Crystal before and after...wow

with the flash on it makes the results more dramatic but you get the point, i put a tape line right down the middle of the hood to see what it looked like side by side and oh my... it looks 100% better. this paint has seen alot, mud, pressure washes, etc..., but damn i have waxed my truck with that tutle wax stuff in a tub but this is 100 times better than that. 2 thumbs way up for this stuff.

there is still alot of swirl marks and spider web looking stuff but this was only "step 2 of the 3 step system".
this is a tape line vertical down the bed.

Zaino has a pretty damn good scratch remover out now, Z-PC. People have posted up some amazing results with it.

i bet there would be less scratches if i would of used the first step of the three step system... it says on the bottle "step 1: paint cleaner. Removes oxidation, scratches and swirls"... oh well

looks great... how long did this take you and what equipment did you use? I have some nasty scratches on my front fender that are past the paint and need to go...

it took me most of the after noon into the night. i first went to auto zone, which is right next to the good car wash, and bought all the stuff i needed the wax, wheel cleaner, and some tire shine. i put the wax on by hand with a microfiber cloth. You can get 18 micro fiber rags at sams for like 12 to 13 dollars. they are the same as mequires but it is just blue and not yellow or gold... so i washed the car at the car wash let it dry on the way home and started waxing when i got home and waxed for probably 3 hours. it just so happened everyone wanted to go bowling that night my arm was killin me the next day!!

I haven't personally had any bad luck with microfiber products, though I usually just use cotton towels. But I have read a lot of "warnings" about using microfiber. I think the Zaino and Meguiars web sites both have some sort of note about it. I read on some site that microfiber is still inconsistent with quality. They said it wasn't necessarily the name brand difference, but the thread qaulity isn't consistent. Like I said though, I haven't had any first hand problems. Just thought I'd throw this in as food for thought since you are trying to get rid of scratches too. Bad microfiber products can cause scratches, though you may not realize it while you are using it. Car looks a lot better though. I'd always wanted to do half a hood for comparison, but I'm always worried about getting both sides to look right afterwards.
