Why is my black paint brown??

Why is my black paint brown?? On my hood, if you look at it in the right light, it looks brownish. I don't like it very much. What would cause this? Do I have to get it repainted?

My firebird and my 94 chevy pickup have a new black paint job on them. When sitting next to my 97 tahoe, or any factory gm black car, there is a noticable difference. I would compare it to having 2 extra coats of wax on the car.
