Default Air Lid Decal - Clear Coat It?

I'm putting the decal below (except dif numbers) on my lid and I'm wondering - should I clear coat the whole thing once it's on or just leave it as is?

Anyone got pics?

I would stick it on there then decide afterwards whether its really worth it to clear over it or not, I'm betting they look good as is

Don't clearcoat it. Gases escape from the vinyl as it's on there and if you clear it it will be trapped underneath and peel up or eat away at the clear. Just stick it on and leave it as is.

Really, I've made over 500 sets of FRCs all with vinyl decals under automotive clearcoat and probably 50 custom airlids and have never had that problem. Learn something new everyday.

It doesn't happen right away. It make take months it may take a year or more. I've read several professional painters say NOT to clear over any type of vinyl graphics.

Not yet - I thought i'd let it gas off for four years.

I have to get some air bubbles out of it first them I'm going to.

Believe me absolutely NO reason what so ever to clear over a decal.

I have the ATA decal and 3 years later still looks as good as new.
