Ram Air H.O Hood & Raptor Hood pics
Ok guys I want to see what hood looks best on a black TA. If anyone has pics of these two hoods please post em here. Preferrably black. Thanks!

Raptor hood on a nbm. Ive had it for 4 or 5 years now and love it. The fitment along the front edge could be better, ive seen others that were better fit. Also get the matching airbox if you get this hood, it makes a huge difference.

If you haven't, then you may be able to fix it somewhat. If you've already adjusted them, then the hood is way off.
I might even be so inclined to remove some material from under the nose tip so that the whole front of the hood can go lower. If the front of the scoops were then too low, I would build them back up with fiberglass.

Was anyone bothered by the fitment at the nose with all those crazy shapes? I think I'm going to cut off the back edge of the bumper cover like the Firehawks did and then extend the hood forward to fill in the gap. I'm not sure about the little nub at the tip. I might cut it off and put a firehawk emblem or something similar to make it all flow. Or I could leave it and just reshape it a bit. Am I the only one thinking this?

I didn't say anything about rubbing. That is strictly prohibited. The body shop should have fixed the gaps around the bumper cover.
What I'm saying is to cut about 1.5" of the bumper cover off and then extend the hood the same distance to compensate.
Here is a hood very similar to the Raptor:
And here is the Firehawk:
The Firehawk emblems are only if you want to slice off that nub in the front and reshape it. On the Firehawk hoods the area right behind that emblem are raised so that the top of the emblem perfectly matches the top of the hood. When looking straight down there is one continous arc. When looking down on the Raptor, the lines go all over the place.

Wow, I didnt realize how different they are shaped. The firehawk has a much cleaner line to it. A buddy of mine did the hood as a side job. The only place it touches is under that stub. Nothing serious an easy fix. Definitely feelin ya on extending the hood. Would look much nicer.
