What hood do I have?
Hey guys,
Well like the title says, I want to know if there is any way to find out what hood I have on my car.
I bought my car and it had Ram Air hood added to it by the previous owner, He never told me what brand hood it was and I emailed him once but got no response. I was reading somewhere that one of the hoods is just like a stock WS.6 hood but has openings on the back by the windshield that let the heat escape Maybe I read that wrong or am confused, but today when my car got hot after ideling for about 10 minutes I noticed a lot of heat waves comming off from the back end of the hood scoops, so I thought maybe i had one of those hoods.
What are all the brands that are made that are WS.6 hood replicas and is there any way to tell? Are some fiberglass, and others steel?
Any help would be great because I am really curious as to what hood I have.
Thanks
***UPDATE***
Here are some better pictures of the hood to help you guys help me figure this out..hope these help!

Looks close to OEM if you can take a pic of the two hood nostrils that would help.
Just looking at the pic's it appears the nostrils are the two piece ones like the OEM plus you have the OEM grille screens. The only other hood manufacture that I know uses these and the hood looks close to OEM is ASCD.

The cars had steel hoods from the factory, I dont think any WS6s had fiberglass hoods stock. And I dont think any aftermarket company makes a steel hood, so...
If its steel its stock, if its fiberglass its aftermarket.
If its steel its stock, if its fiberglass its aftermarket.

If you can get a picture of the back of the hood... the part you facing the windshield that would help in determining the brand. ASCD is very thick at the rear.

Hey guys... I actually think that may be one of my WS6 replicas that I built... If ya get any pics of the underside or the back edge of the hood, it'll be pretty easy for me to tell for sure. I'm not tryin' to self-promote or anything, I don't build them anymore... just tryin' to help out
