You can't really 'wash' a car with a power washer (you need soap to wash) you can only rinse it. And it would depend on what nozzle or nozzle setting you are using. I can write my name in concrete with my power washer if I adjust the sprayer to a pin-point setting. If I were to adjust it to a wide swath I could 'rinse' my car with it but I still wouldn't do it. I only rinse my car with a slow stream of water.

No, really?

Anyway, I use a power washer when I wash mine, full blast on the wheels to get the brake dust off but, LOWER THE PRESSURE ALOT when its hitting the actual paint!

Yes really. Sorry, my orginal post was not intended to be sarcastic. I simply meant that I've tried to remove dirt with just using a power washer on a safe setting (on my truck) and there is always a dirty film remaining. But without scrubbing with soapy water, it doesn't get clean. I do use it on wheels and undercarriage with good results though.

My power washer is actually a washer. It has a reservoir for soap, and mixes it and you can sud up your car and blast it away with it
