Serious question about CHEESE
So the cheesiest camaro post is heating up and I'm definitely agreeing that the majority of it is hideous.. BUT... Has anyone found the balance between customization and coolness?
Post pix of (heavily) modded and HOT camaros. Thanks.

basically build the motor up and put GM parts on the car like SS hood and SS spoiler, but it starts to get gay when people put huge spoilers, ugly ground effects, stickers on there car, and ricey taillights. the balance is keep the body as stock as possible but build the motor up and you wont get flamed on, stripes and berger panels are good and dont hurt the appearance of the car at all.

i agree, keep mainly the body stock, some stuff looks good, some hoods, some GFX (RS) on camaros.. TA's pretty much have one already. I think custom paint is good as well, but not overdone. I think nice colors with a contrasting ghost flame looks effin awesome, but thats about as far as i'd go. Certain rims look good, Dubs or rims that go on a pimpmobile do not. This is my opinion but prolly is the same as many others

it has to be subtle or at least look like thats how it could come from the factory the lines have to match otherwise one piece sticks out like a sore thumb for instance even though I like the look of the hi rise spoiler of TAs I have decided not to put it on my formula because nothing else matches it well enough see where I am going with this pSSycotic gets away with his big cowl hood because he has big wheels

I don't like the whole "if it's not made by GM it's rice" frame of mind. Now I'm not defending people who "rice" their cars, but we need to be a little creative here. In my opinion F-Body guys are a little guilty of following whatever mod is trendy. I'm all for subtle changes but aren't sports cars supposed to be radical and....... sporty?
That being said I've seen so many riced out **** boxes it makes me wanna puke, lol. I say the best thing you can do to a car is have everything made custom. You get exactly what you want and nobody will ever have what you have. People respect custom modification because it shows creativity.
Here's my take on a very well done f-body:

yea that cars pretty damn clean. I think keeping the same theme throughout the whole car is a must
